Spiritual Experiences and Psychotic Breaks are Two Different Things | The Secrets of a Witch Podcast with Sabrina Scott episode 152

Hi my friends! In this episode of the podcast I talk about a trend that has been disturbing me lately… women in their late thirties and early forties positioning their paranoid delusions and psychotic breaks as genuine spiritual enlightenment. That don’t fly with me. Listen to the episode to hear about what I’ve observed and why I think it’s dangerous for the spiritual community and society as a whole.

Why An “I’ll Do It Next Time” Attitude Is Complacent and Entitled | The Secrets of a Witch Podcast with Sabrina Scott episode 78

Okay, rant ahead! Consider this your warning! It hit me today that I’ve been teaching Magic Without Bullshit for 4 years, and I’ve heard the same excuse the entire 4 years - “I’ll do it next time.” Well, guess what? There may not be a next time. In this episode, I explain how this “later” attitude comes from a place of entitlement, complacency, and also taking creators for granted. I also relate this to how people take the clean environment for granted - while today Toronto has the third worst air quality in the world, and I wore a N95 outside to go get a coffee. My eyes stung like hell. When we expect things to always be around for next time - whether it’s the environment, our spouse, or a small business… we reveal some of our own mental weaknesses, and shoot our selves in the foot. We also are deluding ourselves - if we keep telling ourselves, “I’ll do it next year,” and it’s been 4 years. Step out of the delusion, and admit you really don’t care. Or maybe you do. If the time is now, email me - I’ll see you inside.

When We Heal Our Female Ancestral Wounds and Traumas, We Heal Ourselves | The Secrets of a Witch Podcast with Sabrina Scott episode 61

In this episode I talk about ancestor work. Of course, we all know about inter generational trauma, family dynamics and how dysfunctional systems get handed down from generation to generation within families. But what about the traumas, habits, narratives, and beliefs specific to our female and women ancestors in our lineage? In this episode I talk about why looking at gender and ancestral narratives and experiences are so important in understanding and healing our own traumas, energies, and lives - as witches, and as creators of our reality.

Feminine Energy Is About YOU | The Secrets of a Witch Podcast with Sabrina Scott episode 60

Dare to care about YOU! This is the beauty of feminine energy. It’s not about bagging the guy or always getting nice gifts and flowers and trips (or whatever it is you’re aching for) - tho that absolutely does happen for many women who are able to embody a feminine vibration. All of that is the icing on the cake. What feminine energy is really about is also in many ways what magic is about: shifting consciousness at will. Intentionally transforming our energy. Cultivating inner peace, contentedness, acceptance, non-immediacy, and trust in the self. Feminine energy has healed my codependency, anxiety in relating, fears of abandonment, as well as scarcity fears. Feminine energy is about expanding our capacity to feel, to be present, to receive. What’s more magical than that?

Should Women Always Support Other Women? | The Secrets of a Witch Podcast with Sabrina Scott episode 54

It’s Not What You Attract, It’s What You Entertain | The Secrets of a Witch Podcast with Sabrina Scott episode 33

One thing a lot of folks dabbling in manifestation and the law of attraction (and really any kind of sympathetic magic that involves summoning something to us) get wrong is the idea that if something crappy happens, it’s because we attracted it, if we get treated badly by someone we manifested it. Well, no! In this episode I explain how our bright light can attract all kinds of bugs, pretty ones and mean ones; the problem isn’t the bugs (so to speak), but which ones we choose to entertain and make time for. Reconnect with your agency around the law of attraction with this episode!

TFW You Get Bitch Slapped By Your Tarot Cards (Ignore Them At Your Peril) | The Secrets of a Witch Podcast with Sabrina Scott episode 30

It’s happened to you, it’s happened to me - you know what I’m talking about. When you totally ignore the advice your tarot cards give you (“avoid that person/place/thing!”) and… it doesn’t go well for you, LOL. Sometimes - and um, maybe even often - the tarot can tell us stuff that we really don’t want to hear, and it can be sooo tempting to just ignore them and go live life. In this episode I explain how I too have learned this the hard way, as recently as… today! I also give tips for how to interpret and move through this kind of experience, why you shouldn’t beat yourself up, and what to pull cards on next.
