I also talk about the rise of abstracting people into symbols, rather than listening/observing to see who people actually are. It’s become normal to dehumanize people with a different perspective, and this concerns me due to its potential implications for the future of democracy and the future of human relationships. Are you able to step off your moralistic high ground and consider things logically, rather than simply in an emotionally activated way?
